travel angst

Well I've once again become remiss in writing. I plead wandering angst caused by not traveling, but watching guru get ready to travel. As we speak he is making his first visit ever out of the usa to Singapore for an IT meeting. He got off to Seattle yesterday without a hitch or any of our usual antics. We actually got to the airport on time - ok, it meant getting up at 4am in the morning, but we were 3 hours ahead of his flight at 8. After I dropped him off, I circled back to work and found that they lied. No one was in at 6am. I waited around for a few minutes then headed back home to grab breakfast and fiddle with iTunes. So work started at about 7am when it was all said and done. By 3pm I was done and headed out of the office to find Denver had indeed woken up. I was sooooo happy that I didn't get in a car accident yesterday. Driving was _Fun!(tm)_

So yeah, I'm on my own. Well actually I'm not really on my own. This is one of our "busy" weeks in that we have a game that ran last night and a second group Sunday afternoon which I intend to play as normal. Friday night's group was kind of spotty - I have half a pizza left in the fridge because we had 2 people out. Chewed the fat with ethief for a bit afterwards, who has apparently flipped over to nights to finish a writing project and was really just getting his first wind around midnight. Eventually I kicked him out at about 1:30 or so and puttered around the house until about 2:30. I gave up and read at that point, falling asleep at about 3:30am -- to be woken up at 4am by guru's alarm from yesterday that didn't get reset. I had no idea what was going on. I was standing up before I realized I had been woken up. It was *teh_aws0me*. And of course I woke up when the sun slitted through my window this morning at about 8:30, so I'm um ... fuzzy.

Today I don't have a lot of plans as much as I have a list to prove that I am in fact very busy and can't be worried about guru and how he's doing. (blog, finish filing, organize office supplies, re-dig out the backroom which has suspiciously become full again, read up on rules and plan for tomorrow's game, buy things, watch netflix, fix the g4 when no one is looking, laundry (boo), grocery shopping (boo),talk to family, call mom-in-law, etc.) I will probably end up doing nothing as I try to do _everything_ half-assed, then fall asleep for a nap this afternoon. This is the big argument for dropping one of the sessions and regaining our weekends back. We loose the middle day as well because we have to recover before the next game.

EDIT: Paul got in ok this morning. I got an email around 10am that he was in, no problems but very sleepy. Hope to hear more tonight as to his first trip overseas.
