a few more firsts

Tobo found his feet today. He's been grabbing his toes while on his back all afternoon. He also went to the grocery store with me for the first time today and loved it. Boy, that's some cheap entertainment.

I also tried the sweet potatoes as an alternative today, but those pretty much came back at me with an "ack". Afterwards, all food like items involved tobo sticking out is tongue, saying "ack." Ah well, we'll try again some other time.

We're back to 2 hour sleep intervals at night again. The trade off is Tobo is learning stuff in leaps and bounds AND I swear he's legs are longer today then before. So I think its, teething + growth spurt + brain development that's causing our little guy to need food all the time. Paul's trying to help but taking over a feeding at night. We thought tobo might eat more (and sleep longer) if he had a bottle with a fast flow. It really only got us up to a 3 hour stint. I'm really quite tired since I can't get a chance to catch up on any sleep between work and a very busy little boy during the day. In contrast, he's refusing the breast less than before. Based on what I was able to read, it sounds like he had a nurse strike, which can last up to 10 days normally (though some babies will strike longer). Hopefully that is ending soon. Teething is in the top three reasons why babies strike.

Off to bed now to try and catch some zzz's before the night feed begins again.

Going to the store becomes EXPENSIVE entertainment later, ha ha.

Bummer about the sleep. If he wasn't such a super genius...!

Just saw your comment over at Uwee's and wanted to say there's no harm or shame in purposely trying to wear him out to sleep--when Aaron was out of town I was out and about five times the norm so I'd have a sleepy girl!

(Uh oh...she's not sleeping now.)
