short update

So Tobo has been going through leaps and bounds of changes in the last week or so. The least favorite of mine is he's learned to cry after a toy is taken away, he takes a tumble and the like. I knew it was coming but the day is finally hear. There are no real tears and the crying is stops a second after he's redirected or realizes that the toy is not coming back, so it isn't anything serious.

He's also really interested in getting into rooms he hasn't been allowed into on his own, like our bedroom or the kitchen. He now waits at the gate in the kitchen and will politely open the door for you, then just as politely turn around and walk into the kitchen once you've left. Too funny.

He's also tall enough now that on tippy toes he can shop along the edge of the table top as well as scoop up dvd's from our filing cabinet and any number of things. He's also likes to play with paper and close and open doors. We finally pinched our fingers a few days ago when we weren't paying attention to a door we were leaning on. Still hasn't stopped him from trying again this morning.

His favorite game with me is hide and surprise, which means he hides behind my back and jumps out at me and says "Ah!". His favorite game with Dada is chase...who does the chasing and who is the chasee is really up for grabs. He has a special obsession with dogs or "oggs" as he calls them. Though up close and personal he was scared of the two huskies we hung out with last night at dinner with friends.

Ahh, being able to reach tabletops is the worst... And I often fondly recall how many more useful places to put things we had before someone started clearing higher and higher shelves.

So is he walking without hanging on now a lot?
