So I just finished trying to chocolate dip strawberries. I'm doing this because it was on sale and at 9am this morning when I was at the store it sounded like a real easy thing to feed people. The dozen or so of people I invited to my house tonight. Yeah. It's times like these that I really feel that God must be at work because there is no way that introverted little me just said that. As I thought about it later, it keeps me from obsessing about Pauls' folks and my sis-in-laws' travels to see us in a few days. I have to clean the house anyway, this way I do it 2 days early. It should be pretty relaxed tonight and I could use the distraction.
I guess that means I should probably wipe off my counter top. :)
Tobo has been Up. A lot. this week. close to 4 times a night since Sunday. Given, he's working on his 4th tooth, but usually it seems to be related to pacifier-punting as in he punts it out of his crib and then cries. After chatting with folks, oh and potty-mouthing that I can't find a good 1 to 2 year old development reference book, i figured we'd try dropping one of his naps and see if he's just awake more at night. So today we went shopping, went to lunch with a friend, and tried to stay awake. He made it to 2p and pretty much crashed in the car on the way home. Paul was driving, so for the first time in a long while I got to watch him fall asleep. So. Adorable. When he's chewing on my hair, I can't see that. It's 4 now so he's going strong. He actually woke up at 3 but went back to sleep after I rocked him a bit. We're also trying to limit how much he eats at night, and see if we can get some of this wake up stuff to stop. He had been doing so well. But I am not surprised by anything that boy does these days. He's been doing so much language and movement that I'm not surprised if his brain is working over time -- as long as it does it quietly so the rest of us can sleep.

A dozen? You must have lost a dozen of your marble, introvert girl. ;)
Don't sweat anything for us; I promise you Anna eats off the floor here and it is NOT clean. Although I could go for some strawberries...
A good book is "What to Expect: Toddler Years." It really did help us with Roman.
