This was our first attempt at short trip and honestly I think it came off easier than a long trip. Sure, Tobo's schedule didn't really settle down until the day we were leaving, but in the meantime, he was not thrown by napping at odd times of the day or sleeping in a strange hotel room with mom and dad hanging out at the other end of the room while he settled down. A lot of that is because Paul is awesome and great at getting tobo down to sleep whether he likes it or not.
We managed to not get many pictures, so here is one of Tobo getting ready to go:
While we were there we figured out he had 3 incisors coming in. Today I found that he also has already popped out an upper canine as well. This explains the buckets of drool. He's also been eating like a trooper the last few days, so we're expecting another growth spurt any time now.
He has developed a crazy amount of new signs and words in the last few weeks. A list so I can remember later.
Verbal: "down" (with sign), "dane!" (plane, train, truck, car, anything with wheels), "oh" (go), "up!", "um" (dumb)
Signs: "more", "all done", "milk"; occasionally: "water"
Tobo and I had a good mom and me day today. Nobody got too fustrated and I was able to do a couple of things (pay bills, empty dishwasher) without setting off his separation anxiety. I am looking forward to taking swimming (well really water safety) lessons with tobo in June, so we can go and enjoy the pool at our place more during the day. Looking forward to our trip to Seattle in July, though we still have to make a decision about where we're going to stay. Hope to get a weekend up in the hills soon too.
So yeah, that's it in a nut shell. How are you?

Glad you had a good trip. Can't wait to hear him talk, talk, talk this summer.
Anna is a little obsessed with you guys right now--I think she thinks she's going on a plane to see you again. But in the course of asking to talk with you, she's mastered your names, all 3 of you. So we'll try to catch you via phone one of these days.
