Nov 14: gate crasher

So my mom reminded me that I hadn't posted yet today and it made me think, how do people do this for a living? I am really running quickly out of topics to talk about. So here is an update of sorts:

We took the kitchen gate down today. Tobo didn't even notice as he went in demanding apple after his nap. He spent a little time laying down on the floor, but since our kitchen is this big [ ] so that was't really a big deal. We've been working with him the last month or so for good kitchen behavior, and since he's stopped indiscriminately putting things in his mouth (now he at least thinks about it before doing so) we felt he could be let loose in there with safety catches and such.

We got more snow today, which means I need to knit Tobo's boot socks faster so he can go play tomorrow. He at least let me get them on his feet today to check sizing and I think they will be big now,but he can grow into them by spring. He's also gotten an inch or so taller, making sitting in his green chair a bit easier. We spent most of the day home, mainly because tobo took a 3 hour nap. I turned on the light and banged around at the 2 hour mark, but he just rolled over. This leads me to believe that when he wants to sleep he can sleep. Now all we have to do is get him to sleep when we want him to sleep.

I watched Nanny McPhee tonight and really enjoyed it. If you like Emma Thompson it is definitely worth it. It was kind of in the same vein as Coraline or a series of unfortuniate events, but I think I liked it better. Coraline was a bit dark for kids, and a SoUE was a bit too Jim Carry for me. Though I thought it was interesting that it was rated PG. So, older kids maybe. Or childish adults maybe?

Well that's my horrible update. Hope to be better prepare tomorrow.
