Jesse Jackson Reads Green Eggs and Ham
So the me me me book has now been re-christened the 'ham' book. We've been reading it quite a lot lately. As we wake up, as we go to bed, sometimes during the day. I now know for certian that he will not eat them in a box, nor will he eat them with a fox. In case you were wondering.
My first memories of Dr Seuss was going to the doctors office. Not that we didn't have Dr Seuss at home, but Dr. Gould had ALL of the Dr Seuss books and then some. I can still smell the rubbing alcohol smell of his waiting room.
My favorite Dr Seuss book was probably Big Dog Little Dog, though I also like Fox in Sock quite a bit. The Cat the Hat was alright, but really Go Dogs Go was more along my lines.
So far, Tobo has been exposed to Green Eggs and Ham, the ABC book and another favorite Hop on Pop. My mom mentioned that these were originally written as beginner readers, but we've found that Tobo loves listening to them and can repeat back sections.

Not only is that Jesse Jackson clip one of my favorites - I get tears from laughter every time - I also can still smell and picture that waiting room at Dr. Gould's!
The favorite around here is Cat in the Hat for Roman, although I favor Wocket in my Pocket. :)
We are into Big Dog Little Dog right now, though I must inform you it's P. D. Eastman.
Ten Apples Up on Top is the Seuss fave here.
