the good:

Tobo tried the rice cearel yesterday and liked it quite a lot. He ate close to two tablespoons of liquid, though there was only one tablespoon of cearl in the bowl. I think he was honestly more interested in the blue bowl I was spooning out of than the food. We'll be trying it again today.

the bad:
Tobo's definitely teething. Lots of little bumps but so far no tooth has made an appearance. I heard at church that usually kids follow their mom's teeth pattern. I need to ask nana what my teeth did.

the ugly:
We're back to a 2 hrs up/down at night again. No idea why. Also, Tobo has started to fuss when we feed him (or indeed, at anything) I think because of his teeth.

Fussy pants calls. I am away.

Teething stinks. It may be waking him up at night too. Do you have any of that magic gum-numbing stuff? It might help get him back to sleep since it works fast.

That's all I got. Wish I knew more about the littl'uns.

My guess would be teething waking him up. Is he able to soothe back to sleep, or are you needing to nurse him? If he can soothe, then he probably is just teething.

Try not to make a big fuss, or turn lights on, or anything. We were even told not to talk to Charlie because then he's being rewarded for waking up.

We got some gum numbing stuff for the day, check!

Re: soothing: yes, he does sooth back to sleep about every other waking. The rest he's waking up because he's actually hungry. Eats and tries to go right back to sleep. Doesn't always succeed at that. It's the weirdest thing. It's kind of like he's asking me to help him get back to sleep sometimes. Need to start teaching himself to sooth himself.

Yeah, we usually leave the overhead off and don't usually talk when we're putting him down.

The thing that sucks right now is that he doesn't like to eat during the day (too painful) so we end up eating a lot at night because he's starving. BUT he's absolutely needs his dum to do anything. He's also been a lot more clingy to me. Doesn't seem to be running a temperature and is for the most part a happy little boy. Of course, he was very happy through that whole diaper rash affair...so his moods aren't always good indication that something is wrong.
Anyway, I'm ready for a day long nap, I'm sure paul feels the same. :/

What does he do when he wakes from his famous half-hour naps? Any chance that if you can keep him up longer before the first one, he'd soothe (or be soothed) to sleep longer? I just feel for you on that--I don't know how you so much as get to the bathroom, let alone get anything else done! Try some online forums for advice?
