well no wonder

Well no wonder his pants are too short. He's now 27.75" tall. (45%) Still at 17lbs 5 oz, so around 10% in weight and head is 17.5" around at 9 months. We got a little helpful lecture about how he should be sleeping through the night at 9 months, which I think the evidence proves otherwise no matter how you put your kid to bed. Ah well, too late for changes before we leave, but come January, tobo might have some rude awakenings or rather sleepings.

Me confused--was the lecture actually helpful or just a scolding? I hope the former. But some kids are just not good sleepers no matter what, as you say, alas. I just hope mine doesn't keep/wake yours up!

Everything else about the visit was helpful. This was one of the things we've been hearing since he was 6 months that he should be sleeping through the night, so that part was not so helpful because he didn't give us anything new. He did give us a fact sheet so we'll be reading over that and adjusting what were doing, but probably not until after the holidays. When did the little a start sleeping through the night?

Isn't it amazing how fast they grow? It really is overnight sometimes. For our part, Roman was sleeping through at 10 months but from 8pm-5am. Rare that he would go longer; even today, if he sleeps past 6am we're shocked.

Charlie has been consistently sleeping through the night around 9 months (7 months adjusted). He still has nights (like last night) where he wakes for no reason, stands up, and screams for about 10 minutes, but that only occurs say every 3-4 nights now. Of course, he too wakes around 6 or 6:30am.
