Well, posted that by accident. Here's what I was going to say:
I've recently stepped up my accountability with food by getting back to weight watchers. This is a plan that concentrates a lot on food, and some on exercise. Since my current exercise partner is tobo, I can't really do more than walk with him during nice days when he's not sick. But the food has had a little more leeway for experimenting, especially since I started snooping around our local produce/hippie store, Sunflower Market. (gobs better than Whole Foods, imo). A few of the great things I've found over the last two weeks:
- whole wheat frozen pie crusts. Adds a few grams of fiber to an otherwise wasteful use of calories in quiches.
- low fat crumpets. I've decide I like these better than english muffins.
- spicy chipotle hummus. Ah Tribe Hummus, how we've missed you.
- whole wheat poptarts
- great fresh berry mixes that you can buy out of the cooler every week.
- organic bananas that are cheaper than the regular bananas I'd get at the king big bird store.
Every week I find something new and different that usually turns out invaluable.

Goodness, before you explained about quiches I thought, "why in the world are you still making pies on WW?" Ah. Then it made sense.
Here's a good sweet treat my dad introduced me to: sugar free pudding in a graham cracker crust pie. The amount for mixing is right on the side of the pudding box. We figured for a 9-inch pie in 8 slices, it's a point or less. 6 slices, we count it as 1.5 points.
You can't get Tribe hummus? I love their red chili pepper version.
Whole wheat pop tarts sound good. I'm not a pop tart fan myself, but Dana loves em' and I've had no success getting him to enjoy healthier versions. I saw a recipe the other day for homemade ones that look delectable (and relatively easy and relatively nutritious) and I'm thinking of trying to surprise him with them some of those when I can afford to buy a decent natural fruit spread.
I wish we had your market, or even a Whole Foods, closer. We love DeWalt's, but it's tiny. I've started doing some occasional ordering from a local organic farm too.
